Every year, Darshan Academy, Jalandhar Basti Nau, celebrates Independence Day with great pomp and splendour. Since it was the 75th Anniversary of Independence Day, the Darshan Academy decided to celebrate the occasion in a grand fashion. The school head, Ms. Vandini, and the teachers hoisted the flag. Students presented patriotic songs, dumbbells and beautiful dances. The programme ended with the national anthem and the distribution of sweets.
